In english one would call this cottage pie in french hachis parmentier in lebanon it is keebe batata. It is so good that all the different cultures cook the same dish, with their own taste.
2kg Potato (not peeled)
Salt
Black pepper
1kg onion
Beef stock
Bhar helo (sweet pepper)
250 gr of mince meat
1Tps of cooking oil

Wash the potatoes with their skin.
Boil the potato in a big casserole covered with water and a bit of salt
Heat the oil and add the minced onion and cook them until brown then add the minced meet and cook them well.
Add the meat stock.
Salt and pepper and the bhar helo.
When the potato is ready mash them with a bit of salt and black pepper.
In a round pan that can go in the oven place the mashed potato with the meat in layers, potato then meat than potato.
Cook the in an oven at 180 degree celsius for 17 min sahtein.
